Thank You, MajorGeeks! Plus: S.M.A.R.T. Is Fixed

A huge thank you to the team at MajorGeeks for reviewing DiskRaptor and listing it in their Drive Cleaners section! Being featured on a site with MajorGeeks' history is a big milestone for us โ€” and the review was both generous and genuinely useful. We read every word, and we've already acted on the feedback.

What the review loved

The MajorGeeks reviewer put DiskRaptor through real-world testing and highlighted several things we're proud of:

The 512 GB sparse file story

The review's most memorable moment was the "512 GB file" found under Google Play Games โ€” a sparse file with a huge logical size but almost no physical footprint. We loved that the reviewer used it to make an important point: always verify before you delete. Disk analyzers point fingers; humans decide.

S.M.A.R.T. didn't work in the tested version โ€” now it's fixed

The review honestly noted that S.M.A.R.T. monitoring didn't appear to work in the version they tested. That was fair feedback, and we're happy to confirm: it's fixed in the new update (1.0.22). DiskRaptor now reads drive health information reliably on Windows, so you can keep an eye on pending sectors, reallocated sectors and temperature right from the app. See the changelog for details.

What's next

Feedback like this is exactly how a project gets better. We're also looking at the sparse-file handling so future versions clearly distinguish logical size from physical usage. If you spot anything else, tell us โ€” open an issue on GitHub and we'll take a look.

Thanks again, MajorGeeks โ€” and thanks to everyone who found DiskRaptor through the listing. The 5/5 rating means a lot. ๐Ÿ’™
